We're looking for a QA Engineer to be part of an established, efficiently-functioning team following Agile methodologies. The team provides an excellent environment to support and improve QA processes and best practices, providing project specific expertise while delivering code to a large production environment.
It would be beneficial if you were comfortable working in a CI/CD environment, and also interested in getting involved in development; producing good quality, clean, logical code. The role will involve both fixing defects in legacy software and working on new requirements.
Job Requirement
  • Work in an Agile environment to create shippable software on a regular cycle.
  • Define/refine the acceptance criteria for each User Story and creating test case relevant scenarios that provide full test coverage for that User Story (Validation of the acceptance criteria)
  • Perform full functionality testing of the new features being added during the Sprint as well as performing full regression testing for all the previously implemented functionality.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Work closely with developers to ensure all defects are raised and are resolved within project timelines.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine if they are environmental issues or code defects
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to clarify requirements/provide quick test feedback
  • Ensure Test Progress reports are updated daily and all Test tasks are reviewed and closed at the end of the Sprint.
ABOUT YOU
  • 3+ years of industry testing experience including Test automation
  • Interested in getting involved as a Developer
  • Scripting or programming languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, Ruby, Java
  • Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix
  • Experience of bug tracking and test case management
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative within a traditional QA team structure or a Scrum-oriented team
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to details
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable attitude
  • Fluency in verbal and written English
Desirable Skills
  • Agile/CI experience
  • Version Control-such as GIT, CVS, Clearcase.
  • Knowledge and experience of Linux system configuration
  • Working knowledge of source code control and unit testing frameworks.
  • Experience of working with Puppet.
  • Experience of working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins)
  • Experience of working with virtualisation technologies.
  • Familiarity with networking and other common services (such as IPv4/6 and DHCP).
  • Experience of working in an agile environment
  • Computer Science/Software Engineering or other related degree
  • ISTQB certification is a plus
